ELFi GPS Curriculum System

It is our intention to provide children with 21st-century skills through a holistic constructivist program which engages children in play and inquiry-based learning.  We will celebrate and build on strengths while identifying areas of growth and development. ELFi GPS Innovative education system as the structure to be used in positive learning environments that are conducive to learning. The ELFi GPS innovative education system consists of 3 educational purposes, 5 development areas, 46 skills indicators, 10 competency goals and 12 disciplines.


We adopt a constructivist approach: children construct knowledge rather than just passively taking in information. We let children experience the world and reflect upon these experiences. They build their own representations and incorporate new information into their pre-existing knowledge. We use Project Based Learning to make learning more fun and engaging. An integrated, and interdisciplinary approach to learning will develop children's comprehensive abilities, including hands-on skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Prepare children for the challenges of the future.


Children will be encouraged to discover who they are, where they are in time and space and how they express themselves, how the world works and how they organize themselves and share the planet.

 3 Education Purposes 


Famous educator Gert Biesta has suggested that education should be oriented toward three 

domains of purpose that he calls: qualificationsocialization, and subjectification

Inspired by his theory, we established ELFi First School Education System. We called GPS. 

Our 3 education purposes is Global knowledge, Personal Development, and Social Adaptability.



Global knowledge

Make our child a person with competitiveness for the future. 

Children are born learners, and they are full of curiosity about the world. ELFi will provide tremendous real and interesting learning contents for them. Our constructivist approach and PBL Teaching method will let children free to explore the world and construct their own knowledge. They will find learning is fun and will intensely enjoy that. We will cultivate their curiosity, information seeking and eagerness for knowledge. This lays a solid foundation for lifelong learners.

Personal Development

Make our child a person with independence, self-confidence, and wellbeing. 


We cultivate a sound child supported by an all-round development with emotional, social, ethical, and academic capabilities. ELFi teachers will recognize and respect each child's differences, accept them and honour their being. We value their performance and efforts, build their sense of trust, security and belonging. We will strengthen children’s capacity for empathy, development of thoughtful abilities, perseverance, and open-mindedness.  Encourage children in becoming the best they can be. 


Social Adaptability

Make a child a person who contributes to society.

ELFi teachers will enable children to learn about their emotions and those of others. The teachers facilitate understanding concepts of boundaries, adaptability, enjoying experiences of change, surprise, and uncertainty which develop children’s resilience. They will guide children to understand what freedom and rules are, what rights and responsibility are. They will foster appreciation of similarities and differences of children, between themselves and others. Teachers will support children to recognize and respond to the needs and feelings of others. They will help children to establish a positive relationship with the world consisting of self-awareness, understanding of others, concern for the environment, citizenship, and social responsibility.

5 Development Area, 46 Skill indicator 10 Competency Goals

In ELFi  GPS Innovative Education System,we set up 5 area for children’s development. they are Approaches to learning, Cognitive development, Health and physical development, Social and emotional development, Communication, language and literacy. We have 46 specific indicators that we aim to design our teaching plan and use to evaluate the children’s personal development, there are 10 goals we will help children to build up for the future:

12 Discipline and Teaching Plan

Our experienced team of experts design the curriculum throughout the year: 6 modules, 24 project units, all according to the different age, different interests of children, outlined to various activities. Each module will last up to two months. During these two months, we will design a theme-related scene for children for them to be enwrapped in. We will create an immersive environment from songs, books, and teaching AIDS for children to explore and learn. Our thematic courses will be taught in an integrated and interdisciplinary teaching method. This allows children to experiment and explore on their own, in an Inquiry Based Learning and project-based Learning Method. In different project units, children will be exposed to 12 different disciplines which are: Reading, Art, STEM, Craft, Dramatic Play, Music and Movement, Sensory Play, Cook, Logic Thinking, Practical Life, Yoga, Free Exploration. They are multidisciplinary teachings that will enhance children's understanding of knowledge and make them understand that knowledge is not fragmented but rather interconnected. Developing children's creativity and critical thinking is more conducive to the cultivation of their concentration and a deeper understanding of the world.
